The move to Mandalay Bay provides approximately double the available space, allowing U.S. Futsal to welcome more teams and continue to grow the country’s premier Futsal competition. The convention center will transform into a massive Futsal complex, with 14 to 16 matches taking place simultaneously across multiple courts.
“The National Championship has grown significantly over the years. What started as a small tournament with just four teams in 1985 has developed into the largest Futsal competition in the United States. Moving the event to Mandalay Bay allows us to accommodate the increasing demand from teams across the country.”
— Alexander Para, President of U.S. Futsal
U.S. Futsal first launched the National Championship in 1985, as the United States Olympic Committee required all National Governing Bodies to hold a national competition to bring together teams from across the United States to compete for a national title. While the tournament has been held annually for decades, the 2020 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making 2026 the official 40th National Championship.
This year’s tournament will welcome more than 400 teams from across the country, competing in the following divisions:
- Boys U8–U19
- Girls U8–U19
- Open Men
- Open Women
- Men’s Over 35
The event begins July 30 with team registration, coaching clinics, referee education sessions, and the start of tournament play, followed by three days of competition culminating in the U.S. Futsal National Championship matches.
The National Championship serves as the culmination of the U.S. Futsal season. Teams earn their place at Nationals through strong performances at regional competitions, including the U.S. Futsal Northeast Regional Championship in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the U.S. Futsal Northwest Regional Championship in San Francisco, California, which together welcomed more than 1,000 teams earlier this year.
“The growth we’re seeing at our regional tournaments is translating directly to the National Championship. With record participation across our regional events and a new venue that allows us to expand, this year’s National Championship reflects the exciting momentum Futsal is experiencing throughout the United States.”
— Jessica Dodson, Fractional Marketing Director for U.S. Futsal
The milestone tournament also takes place during U.S. Futsal’s 45th anniversary year, celebrating more than four decades of developing the sport nationwide and building a vibrant community of players, coaches, referees, and fans. As the country’s top teams prepare to compete in Las Vegas, the 2026 National Championship is expected to be the largest and most competitive national Futsal event held in the United States.
